The practice, doctors and staff respect your privacy.
The care of our patients is important to us and, to comply with the Privacy Act and to maintain confidentiality, the practice wishes to advise its patients of the following:
- Your consent is required for the collection and disclosure of any information about you.
- A request for information is preferred in the written form, addressed to the doctor concerned. This allows for the correct information to be collated and provides a record to be kept on file. A fee can be attracted for this service, to cover time, photocopying and other office costs.
- In some cases, where access is restricted or denied, an explanation will be given.
- Our patients are very welcome to discuss any concerns they have regarding the handling of their personal information.
